Sudelfeld Ski Resort – approx. 30–40 minutes

Sudelfeld is one of Germany's largest and most reliably snow-covered ski areas, just 30–40 minutes from the Kurpark Suites. With over 30 km of slopes, there's terrain for everyone: gentle beginner and children's slopes, wide family runs, and more challenging routes for advanced skiers. Modern lifts mean short waiting times, and the upper slopes offer stunning views across the Alpine panorama. Need a break from skiing? Sudelfeld also has toboggan runs and beautiful winter hiking trails.

Skiing at Spitzingsee – approx. 45 minutes

The Spitzingsee-Tegernsee ski area is one of the most popular winter sports regions in Upper Bavaria, about 45 minutes from Bad Aibling. Expect varied slopes winding through dense forest and open terrain, modern cable cars, and cosy mountain huts perfect for a break. It's especially popular with day-trippers from Munich and the Rosenheim area – ideal if you'd like to combine skiing with a relaxed day out.

Winter sports around Lake Tegernsee

Around Lake Tegernsee itself, you'll find several smaller, family-run ski areas with breathtaking views over the lake and surrounding peaks. The slopes here are generally shorter and quieter than at the bigger resorts – perfect for a relaxed ski day away from the crowds, ideally followed by a stroll along the lake.

Day trip to Kitzbühel – approx. 1 hour

A special highlight for more ambitious skiers is a trip to Kitzbühel in Tyrol, one of the most famous and traditional ski resorts in the Alps. From Bad Aibling, you'll reach it in about an hour by car. Here you'll find over 200 km of perfectly groomed slopes, modern lift systems, and the legendary Streif – one of the most demanding and famous downhill runs in the world, known from the annual Hahnenkamm race.

After the slopes: unwind at Therme Bad Aibling

When your legs are tired and your cheeks are still rosy from the cold, Therme Bad Aibling – just a few minutes' walk from your suite – is the perfect place to arrive and unwind. The soothing thermal and saline pools help release tense muscles, while the sauna area brings back the warmth after a cold day on the mountain. This way, you can combine active days in the Alps with genuine moments of relaxation in the spa town – then round off the evening at one of Bad Aibling's cosy restaurants.
